Reverse
Turning to the reverse design of the 2023 British Silver Britannias, you’ll discover Philip Nathan’s elegant rendition of Britannia. History
The British Silver Britannia series, introduced by the Royal Mint in 1997, followed a decade after the introduction of gold coins in 1987. Initially, Silver Britannias featured alternating reverse designs of Britannia. It wasn’t until 2011 that the series settled on Philip Nathan’s 1987 depiction of Britannia, consistent with the gold coins.
